Mr. Hoffmann’s IT certification career began when he managed
Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) certifications and Authorized Training
Center (ATC) recruitment for the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
program in 1993. In this capacity, he helped develop strategic relationships
with companies including HP, Ingram Micro, Tech Data, and IBM, and was
instrumental in bringing these companies under contract with Microsoft.
During his tenure in the Microsoft program, the number of ATCs and MCTs
doubled. From Microsoft’s Certified Professional program, Mr. Hoffmann was recruited to aid in building the Microsoft’s Office User Specialist (MOUS) certification program. He was responsible for developing the academic and staffing sales channels, working closely with recruitment centers, colleges and universities. He was also responsible for the development of strategic relationships with professional associations in the certification marketplace. As a result of his experience in the IT certification industry, he brings valuable insight to the IT community from a training and certification perspective. Mr. Hoffmann holds a BA from Brigham Young University. He is speaks Korean and has lived extensively in Korea and England. |
